What a thrill it is to be able to start our National Classic 300 Run series in Windsor Great Park. We have been allocated the historic Review Ground, adjacent The Long Walk and access from the A332 Sheet Street Road (Windsor – Ascot road).
The Review Ground is a large grassed area and will provide a first class opportunity to display our cars from the suggested arrival time of 10 a.m. until the official start time of 2.30 p.m. when the cars will leave the site, via the starting ramp, to commence a short symbolic run after which we can choose to return to the Park and enjoy the on-going celebrations or to return homewards. All vehicles registered to partake in any or all of the individual runs will be sure of a great welcome as we are determined to present a superb spectacle to be remembered by all.
This will be an event that family and friends will be able to enjoy as Berkshire Province will also be celebrating with us and have organised a 300 Mile Walk (300 people walking one mile) along The Long Walk to the Copper Horse statue for everyone to take part in (we know we can total more than 300 miles!) Everyone walking the mile will receive a commemorative certificate as well as thanks for their support. There will also be opportunities to picnic with refreshments being available to purchase. Those picnicking will be in very good company as also celebrating the Tercentenary will be a “Teddy Bears Picnic” with all the razzamatazz you would expect.
